Rolling Both Ways

Brendan figured out how to roll over from both his back and now his tummy today! Our lives are never going to be the same! :)

2nd Annual Shoemaker-Low Family Weekend

For the second time, we all spent the weekend at Mom & Dad's house, the Shoemaker Sheraton. :) We had lots of fun spending time with Mamaw, GrandBob, Aunt Jenny & Uncle Rob.

On Friday, we went on a boat ride...Brendan's first! He was very well behaved the whole time, despite Mommy not letting him out of his life jacket for even a second.

We had a wonderful "Surf & Turf" dinner on the screened-in porch after Brendan went to bed.

On Saturday, we had a lazy morning and then spent the afternoon at the Indianapolis Zoo! It was a very hot day, but lots of fun. Brendan only saw a few animals before taking a very good nap in his stroller, but I think that he had fun!

Saturday night, we went out to Greek's Pizza with Aunt Jenny & Uncle Rob, while Mamaw & GrandBob attended his 40th High School reunion.

Sunday morning, we had a yummy brunch and then headed home...tired, but happy to have spent the weekend with family!

He finally figured it out!

Brendan finally figured out that cereal is a good thing this weekend! He just all the sudden started eating, like he's been doing it his entire life! Ate a whole teaspoon on oatmeal cereal plus a couple teaspoons of peaches!

He did so well with his cereal and peaches on Saturday, we decided to try some rice cereal with peas for breakfast on Sunday morning...ate it all! Then he had more for dinner, plus some peaches too! He's going to eat us out of house & home! Sounds like something his daddy is already doing!

Play Time at Home

We spent most of the weekend at home hanging out and playing with Brendan. Here's some cute pictures of playtime!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'

Brendan got to spend time with my Aunt Julie and my cousin Alana today, as Mamaw couldn't babysit her normal day. The girls had lots of fun with Brendan and I know that he enjoyed the day as well! Brendan finally rolled over again for them - twice! Here are some pictures from their day, courtesy of Alana. They took two walks, which Brendan loves to do. (I know, I need to figure out how to rotate the pic!)

Still trying solids...

We're still trying to get Brendan to like, or even really try, some cereal. I finally broke down and mixed some peaches in with it...don't lecture me on vegetables before fruits! :) Still no real interest...a bite or two may actually make it down, but he just doesn't seem to care for it. Oh, well...we'll keep trying.

Happy 4th of July!

Mamaw & GrandBob had a 4th of July party at their house that we all went to. Yummy food and awesome fireworks! Brendan luckily slept thru all of the fireworks. Here are some pictures from the evening.
