First IU Football Game & A Tooth!

Today was IU's first home football game of the 2008 season. The Hoosiers played Western Kentucky. They won the game 31-13!!! Brendan was a good sport...it was very hot & sunny today, so it was somewhat miserable for babies! Plus, the game was during his afternoon nap time.

It's a long day for a little man

Brendan had been a little more fussy than normal the last few days, which we chalked up to his current ear infection, but lo and be hold...we saw the beginnings of a tooth breaking thru his gums today! Once it's all the way thru we'll take a picture to post.

Visit to Terre Haute

Mom & I took Brendan to Terre Haute to meet his Great Grandma Peggy & Great Grandpa Bill for the first time. We were lucky enough to have Mom's cousins - Debby & Kathy and their mom, Aunt Kitty, to join us on the trip.

We enjoyed lunch on the patio at Great Grandma Peggy's place. Then we drove out to Mom's childhood home, where Uncle Pete & Virginia now live. Then we had a nice visit with Great Grandpa Bill in his apartment.



Brendan also learned that his stroller tastes good! :) Maybe there are some teeth coming soon!

Baptism

We had Brendan baptized today at our church. Chris' parents were able to make it for the ceremony all the way from Rochester, New York! Brendan was a little fussy (hungry & tired) while he was actually getting baptized, so we don't have pictures from that, but we were able to get some after the church service after Brendan had a short nap.




After the church service, we went to Mamaw & GrandBob's house for a luncheon. It was supposed to be by the pool, but it was terribly hot, so everyone stayed inside.
Great Grandma Mimi & Great Grandpa Papaw had the cake made with Brendan's picture on it. It was very cute and very, very yummy!


We didn't have Brendan wear a baptismal gown - we weren't sure we wanted to put our son in a dress! But we did get a picture of him next to both of our gowns that we wore when we were baptized. (Plus he wouldn't have fit into either one at this point!)

Mexican Party 2008

We attended our annual "Family Reunion" in Muncie this weekend...we have always called it the Mexican Party, as we have tons of yummy Mexican food. This year was Brendan's first and he had plenty of fun.
