Water Park

To finish our weekend visit, we headed to the Water Park that is down the street. Our little water bug of course loved it...was in the middle with the big kids! Brendan filled his buckets and got well, damp, but seemed to have fun anyway. :)

Swimming!

Bisia & Grampy came into town for the long holiday weekend for a visit. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and swimming at Mamaw & GrandBob's house the first night they were here.

Brendan loves to play with the water, but does not want to get in the water. I think that he stood on the top step of the pool eventually, so his ankles got wet. :)
Katelyn on the other hand is a little water bug!

After dinner, Brendan wanted to go down to the lake. My rule is that they have to have life jackets on to be on the boardwalk or the dock. It's a good 3 foot drop off the boardwalk... So, after some reluctance from Brendan they both put their life jackets on and enjoyed the board walk.

Brendan spent 99% of his time throwing rocks and sticks into the lake...100% boy!

Shades

Katelyn loves sunglasses...unfortunately she's pretty rough on them...Chris & I have both lost a pair to her little hands. I bought her a little pink pair, but they lasted about 5 minutes before she broke one of the ear pieces off.
Brendan was nice enough to let her wear his for a little bit and luckily we've kept her from breaking his.

Visiting Conner Prairie

My Mom's Group visited Conner Prairie today and I braved taking both kids. Brendan was on his best behavior...mainly due to a bribe of a new set of train cars from Target. Katelyn was mostly content to sit in the stroller and take in the sites. It was nice to be outside for the day. I also enjoyed touring the historic village, something I hadn't been there in years!
Granted, he doesn't look all that thrilled in this picture!
The best part of the day was probably the Animal Barn. There was a baby calf, some goats and some lambs.

Fishers Touch-A-Truck

This was our first time at the Fishers Touch-A-Truck. We had gone to the Westfield one last summer. This one was much smaller, but in a way it worked out well. Chris was able to meet us there since it was 4-7pm instead of during the day. They had freshly popped popcorn for the kids to snack on. Brendan was enthralled with the popcorn almost more than all the trucks, but eventually rallied. Katelyn enjoyed the trucks a little too as well as some popcorn.

14 Months

Happy Mother's Day to Me

Chris & the kids got me an edible arrangement for Mother's Day this year. It was delicious, especially the chocolate covered strawberries!

Both kids made me a flower pot with their hand prints at their "schools".

We went to church this morning. Brendan was supposed to go to the 3's room for childcare during the service. He'd only been in that room once before and wasn't real happy about being left. So, he ended up sitting between me & Chris during the service. He was really, really good. He scribbled on the children's bulletin and found the numbers and letters that I whispered to him. Afterwards, we went out to breakfast - my request! We went to Bob Evans. The kids were amazing while we were there...service was very slow (they were busy, but we were there over an hour). I ran into Dollar Tree before we went to breakfast and got Katelyn a couple little board books and Brendan a matchbox car and a little puzzle.

All in all, a great day. :) So blessed to be a mommy x2!
