Third Time's the Charm for the Splash Pad!

Bisia & Grampy came in for a visit this week. We had some thunderstorms this evening around dinner time, but they had seemed to have blow through, so we ventured over to the Splash Pad to try it one more time. The park was absolutely deserted...we were the only ones there!

Brendan actually seemed to get into it a little bit more, esp. when he got to make the water come on!









Chris & Grampy certainly had some fun as well!

Big news...

...we're selling our house! Not sure how long it will take to sell or where we'll live next. We're trying not to fall in love with a house until after our current house is sold. Brendan doesn't really get the idea of moving and I'm a little worried about him and the move. He refers to our house as "Brendan's house" and the few times I've driven thru other neighborhoods to window shop, he keeps asking in a worried voice, "Where's Brendan's house?" But in the mean time, he's enjoying the packing boxes as we declutter a little bit.

4 month check-up

Katelyn is doing well. She was all smiles for the doctor & the nurses today at her check-up. That is until she has to get 3 shots in her little leggies. :( She was a trooper and only cried for a little bit.

Height: 26 inches! (91st percentile)
Weight: 12 pounds, 10 ounces (the doctor's office scale and the scale at Support group are somewhat different) (17th percentile)
Head circumferences: 15 3/4 inches (14th percentile)

17 Weeks

Katelyn's almost 4 months old! She has her 4 month check-up on Wednesday, so I'll post that info soon! Hard to believe how fast she's growing up!

A Boat Ride!

Brendan spent the night at Mamaw & GrandBob's house after the Mexican party. So the next morning when we came over to pick him up, we went for a quick boat ride since the lake was still relatively quiet. It went better than we expected, but wasn't 100% relaxing with keeping a close eye on Brendan and trying to hold Katelyn with her life jacket on.
Brendan kept saying that it was too bright out on the water, so we dug out a pair of Mamaw's old sunglasses that she keeps on there just in case. They were "amber" glasses...he kept putting them on and saying "Everything's yellow!" :)

Mexican Party

We had our annual Mexican Party today. Great weather, great food, and great time with family!

Katelyn got dressed up for the occasion in her dress from Aunt Suzi & Uncle Joe. Too bad Aunt Suzi, Molly, John, & Lily couldn't make it up for the party...we missed you guys!

Brendan had a blast playing in the pool and of course with his train cars & his pink Barbie car. Yes, that is what he calls the car..."my pink Barbie car".

One tired little man...

Brendan moved up in classes at Gymboree this week. Instead of a 45 minute class, it's 60 minutes. I think that it wiped him out! He fell asleep in the car on the way home, even though it was only a little after 11am! I carried him inside and put him on the couch, expecting him to wake up, as he normally does when I try to move him. Slept for almost 2 hours even with the dogs climbing on him. At one point, Ellie was even licking him!
