4th of July Party
We went over to a friend's house for a July 4th celebration. Since we couldn't do fireworks, they had glow necklaces and Pop Rocks for the kids! I think that the kids had fun. :)

Fishers Freedom Festival Parade
We didn't make it to really any of the Fishers Freedom Festival this year, since we did the Day Out with Thomas on Saturday. We were able to make it to the parade and got to watch it with Uncle Rob, Aunt Jenny, Bobby, Jenny's Dad and Jenny's sister, Wendy.
Both kids were mostly about getting candy and unfortunately, since they are so little and not super demanding of strangers, they often got passed by on the candy. Of course, they were able to get a few pieces which was plenty for their little tummies.

This became somewhat our typical Sunday mid-day activity...trek over to Mamaw & GrandBob's house to swim and eat lunch together. :)

Day Out with Thomas
Once again this year, we drove down to Connersville, Indiana for the Day Out with Thomas.
Brendan was so funny on the way down, adamant that there would be Trackmaster Trains to play with (there was a tent there last year that had games and toys for the kids.) We kept telling him that we weren't sure that it would be Trackmaster, but we were sure that there would be things to do. And guess what, the little man was dead on! Inside the tent there were several tables set up with track and Trackmaster trains for the kids to play with!
The kids had a blast playing in the tent while we waiting for our turn to ride the train with Thomas.
Soon, it was time to board the coaches that Thomas would pull down the track.
It was actually very warm that day. Brendan was very excited the whole trip, but a little scared of the loud whistles...hence the worried look here. :)

Then we rode on the Caboose Train. You ride in one of three? cabooses or a coach on a track parallel to the track that Thomas comes down, so you end up seeing the Thomas train come by twice! It's really neat and the kids of course enjoyed it. We even got brave and sat up high in the upper seats of the caboose.

Another Father's Day Celebration
The Barbatos were nice enough to host an additional Father's Day celebration. The kids were able to do some swimming after spending a good part of the day in the car.
Raspberry Picking
On Sunday morning, we found a local berry picking place to pick some raspberries. The kids did pretty well, but picking the "red" ones apparently was lost on Katelyn for at least part of the time. ;)
