Our first day in Brown County, we went to Nashville and just walked around - mostly looked in shop windows. Most of the shops were not directed at the kids. ;)
We did find a neat place to eat lunch which was quite good. http://www.ourbrowncounty.com/0801s5.htm
Afterwards, we wandered a little more and found a candy store/ice cream shop. :) We all enjoyed some yummy ice cream and gelato, then headed back to our house for some naps.
Our second day, we ventured to Brown County State Park. The kids went horse back riding! I was afraid that it wasn't going to go so well - there would be a fit from Brendan and tears of fear from Katelyn. But they did great!
We then toured more of the park. The boys climbed up the old Fire Tower.
We checked an old log cabin near the Fire Tower.
The kids thought the upstairs "loft" was pretty cool.
Then we walked on the "Discovery Trail" which was very kid/stroller friendly. It even had a nice lookout point. Very well done for those with disabilities or those with kids in strollers vs. carriers.
We even managed to get a rare family picture with both kids looking at the camera...both looking, not both smiling. ;)
