Planting Flowers

On my day off this week, Brendan and Mamaw helped me plant some herbs, marigolds, and petunias in the backyard. The dogs, Abby & Ellie, helped out as well. I'll have to add some pictures of the flowers when they grow a little bit.

Memorial Day Weekend

Finally a long weekend! Brendan was supposed to take his first boat ride, but time got away from us. We did have dinner on the porch with Mamaw, GrandBob, Uncle Rob & Aunt Jenny. Here are some pics from dinner.

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Today was our second wedding anniversary. Mamaw & GrandBob babysat Brendan so we could go out for a nice dinner. We went to Peterson's which was wonderful. We had way too much good food! For an appetizer, we shared some jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab and wrapped in bacon. Then we both had the lobster bisque. For dinner, Chris had scalloops and I had red snapper. We shared an order of the corn risotto. Dessert was on the house, a flourless chocolate amaretto cake with raspberry sauce.



We did not exchange gifts, but Chris did surprise me with 2 dozen roses. They are beautiful and smell wonderful.

Our Yard

Chris & I spent a lot of time on our yard last year and it's really paying off this spring. Just wanted to share some pictures of the backyard, we're really happy with how it's turned out.

First Mother's Day

Today was my first mother's day. We had a wonderful day...slept in and just hung around the house most of the day, then had dinner with the family at the Barbatos. Brendan made me a card at daycare with his footprint in it. Chris & Brendan bought me a necklace. It's a heart with all of our birthstones on it. I had been wanting something like this since I found out I was pregnant with Brendan. I love it! I'll add a picture as soon as I get one, but you can kind of see it in the second picture.
