Easy Street

We have a children's book that Brendan likes called Easy Street. It is all about blacktopping a new road. Our section of the neighborhood is finally getting our street finished/top coat of paving done. We got lucky and they did our cul-de-sac on a Saturday, so the kids pulled out there chairs and got to watch!

"Squeeze out a slice of street, like jam on bread." is one of the lines from the book that Brendan now keeps repeating. :)
